Teaching Interests My teaching interests vary as a result of my personal experiences and how earth science can be applied toward living on Earth. Because of my broad interests, I teach an array of courses from introductory-level undergraduate to graduate-level (lecture, field, and/or seminar based; field-based course are my favorite). I also enjoy teaching introductory-level courses and have participated as an Instructor in KSU’s First Year Seminar program numerous times since its inception in 2008.
In addition to geology, I have a physical geography background - both influence how and what I teach. Big societal problems usually need big, multidisciplinary solutions, thus an earth science background is ideally suited for problems that bridge natural and social systems. Take a GEOL course and see for yourself.. then become a geology minor or major and join our program!!
